In a dispute between a union and a major multi-employer of Licensed Practical Nurses, Nadel was called upon to write an expert report to discern the differences in responsibilities of LPN's in various settings. Using job interviews with Nurses and Supervisors in different settings and then applying job analysis principles, an expert opinion was issued in a report. After reviewing the expert report, the multi-hospital employer agreed that all LPN's should receive the same hourly rate and avoided arbitration. Important to this case were the interviews of many LPN's and the experts opinion about the similarity of their jobs.
